BRITTNEY WALTERS

Brittney Walters was born in Virginia Beach but resides in Chesapeake.  She is a member of London Bridge Baptist Church.  Her mother and her mother’s family were born in the City of Norfolk.

She is an eleven year old sixth grader at Great Bridge Middle School.  She has taken tap, jazz, musical theatre and acting classes since she was seven.  Brittney has performed in eight musical productions with the Norfolk based Hurrah Players in the last four and a half years. She has worked with a voice coach off and on for a few years and has performed with Babes on Broadway for several local non profit organizations.

Brittney currently plays girls fast pitch softball for the Chesapeake Cyclones for which she is a pitcher, catcher, first baseman, shortstop and center fielder.  She is also currently playing recreational basketball for the Chesapeake Warriors and is one of two point guards.

She plays the violin, the recorder and the flute.  The Miss Norfolk pageant was her first pageant competition so she was quite surprised and pleased to be chosen in her division for both talent and the crown.

As Miss Pre-teen Norfolk, she hopes to become more involved in the community and learn more about non-profit organizations in the area and ways she can promote community awareness in these causes.
